One casualty suffered the effects of smoke inhalation after a fire at a house in Barrowford yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters from Nelson and Colne were called to the property in Linton Gardens at 4pm where they discovered the blaze in an oven.

Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel. Crews were in attendance around one hour and twenty minutes.
