PHOTOS: Fence treasure hunt draws crowds
The search for clues around Fence attracted families from the village and neighbouring Higham and Roughlee.
They were rewarded with hot food and drinks at the village hall and tried their luck on the tombola. There was also chance to view the results of a painting competition for children from the villages.

The treasure hunt was one of a series of events being organised to earn money for the upkeep of the hall which is used every day by groups in the village.
The small hard-working committee hopes to add to the coffers with a coffee morning on Saturday, June 13th, when a home-made cake stall will be among the attractions.
