Tributes to dad killed in M65 smash
Mr Peter Sarchet (41) was travelling to work, near Preston, when his machine was in collision with a white Vauxhall Insignia between junctions 2 and 1 of the west-bound carriageway around 7-30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Mr Sarchet, who lived in Worsthorne, received multiple injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but died a short time later.

Hide AdHis family said Mr Sarchet, who worked as a retail manager, was their “rock” and completely devoted to them.
His brother, Mario, said: “He was a devoted family man, he lived for his children and wife. He was always loving, caring and considerate.”
Mr Sarchet leaves his wife of 14 years Jill, son Chris (17), and daughters Levi (17) and Jessica (13).
One of four children, he was born in Devon, and was brought up in Nelson before the family moved to Spain, returning to Reedley when Mr Sarchet was 14. He went to Edge End High School, Nelson, and also later lived in Nelson.

Hide AdMario said his brother was practically-minded and was talented at DIY and making things and enjoyed walking his dog Charlie in the countryside around Worsthorne.
“He was very capable, he loved making things and had done a lot of work on his previous house.”
Mr Sarchet had previously been involved in the family business Peter’s Jewellers but not for more than 10 years,
Mario added: “Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, he always put others first. He was one of life’s gentlemen.
“He was a rock to his family and will be greatly missed.”

Hide AdThe driver of the car involved in the crash was shaken but uninjured and police closed all three lanes of the west-bound carriageway and at the roundabout at the end of the M65 where it joins with the M6, for accident investigation to take place.
Sgt Lee Campbell from the Road Policing Unit said: “At this stage it is not entirely clear what has happened and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward if they have any information that could help with our investigation.” Anyone with any information can contact police on 08451 25 35 45.
