Woman blames bouncer threats on alcohol relapse
Gemma Louise Brennan (29) had been causing early hours problems with door staff at a Burnley bar for about 30 minutes.
After a police officer was approached by the staff, Brennan tried to push some railings over and gesturing towards the door staff, said: “I’m going to hurt them.”

The defendant, of Laithe Street, Burnley, admitted being drunk and disorderly on Hargreaves Street on November 7th. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay a £150 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
She told the justices: “I apologise. It’s just a relapse. I did a six month course at Inspire that I completed and I’m just gutted really that I let it get to me.”
