Here are some of the most exciting looking titles releasing over the next few weeks - as well as everything else coming to major platforms.

Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia

What is it? The long-running series of historic strategy games delivers its latest 'full' titles in Thrones of Britannia.

Players control the kingdoms vying for power over the British Isles in 878 AD, after the death of Ragnar Lodbrok and the subsequent Viking invasion.

What platform is it on? PC

When can I play it? May 3

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

What is it? The recent run of great last-generation games coming to the Nintendo Switch continues with this re-purposed edition of the 2014 Wii U platformer.

Now, players can take Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, and Cranky Kong (as well as Funky Kong in an easier optional 'Funky Mode') wherever they like, with colourful visuals and tricky side-scrolling platform action.

Hitman Definitive Edition

What is it? IO Interactive reinvented the long-running franchise of stealth games with 2016's Hitman, which was released episodically, one level at a time. Those levels are so vast and expansive, allowing you to take down your foes in myriad inventive ways, you could argue they are full games in themselves.

The Definitive Edition collects all of the game's previously released content onto one disc, so if you've not had a chance to check it out, now's the time to do so.

Little Nightmares: Complete Edition

What is it? Another title long overdue a port to the Switch (where it'll be playable at home, and on the go), indie game Little Nightmares is a brilliant piece of puzzle platforming with a creepy, unnerving atmosphere quite unlike any other.

You play as a young girl called Six, trapped within a mysterious vessel catering to the whims of grotesque creatures. Consumed by crippling hunger, you must make your escape, sneaking past horrific monsters and other hazards.
