From Burnley to Tanzania, chairs will be seats of learning for children
For St Cuthbert's Operatic and Dramatic Society have donated 100 chairs to the national charity Furniture for Education Worldwide.
Launched in 2008 the charity sends all surplus and redundant furniture from old schools to deprived areas around the world where schools have little or no facilities and students are forced to do their lessons sat on the floor or resting on their bags.

Hide AdWhen the society, which is sponsored by Althams Travel Ltd, found itself with 100 chairs that were surplus to requirements, members contacted the charity to see if they would be of use.
