Firefighters called to early hours of the morning kitchen blaze in Pendle

Fire crews raced to a kitchen fire in a first floor flat in the early hours of this morning.

The blaze was already out by the time crews arrived at the property in Regent Street, Nelson at 1-30am so they used a portable fan to extract smoke and heat from the flat.

No-one was injured and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
